We have two NCC troops, one for boys with 100 cadets and another for girls with 60 cadets under the supervision of ANO Mrs. Sukhpal Kaur and Mr Manoj Kalia.
In Girls Annual Training Camp held at PGGCG Sec-42, Chandigarh our girls cadets won first position in KHO- KHO, Painting, Dance, Drill, Shooting and Anchoring.
Scouts, Guides and NSS:
To infuse a sense of discipline, duty and patriotism we have troops of scouts and guides. A cleanliness campaign was held at village Mauli under the supervision of Mrs. Menu Sood and Mr Manoj. A literacy survey was conducted by our students in the village as well. A talk on Career Guidance and Self Employment was also given to make the students aware of various avenues open to them after completing 12th standard.
To promote a healthier environment for years to come, the school is a member of eco club Chandigarh, under the banner Sparrow Eco Club and is supervised by Mrs. Savita Arya. However, growing beyond its name the students have also been taking keen interest in recognition of migratory birds at Sukhna Lake.
To save Environment school has organised different activities like Conservation Day Celebration, Cycle Rally on Pollution Prevention Day, Celebration of Oil Conservation Week, Earth Day, Water Resources Day and Workshop on Renewable Source of Energy,” Say No to Crackers”, and Tree Plantation were held in school. Special Hawan was Performed by the Environment Society of India to make students aware about Clean Environment.
Looking at the degeneration of values and utter ignorance about the Indian cultural heritage, the management has launched a programme of value oriented moral education as well. Peace Club is actively organising lectures on moral values.
